SOLD - 1949 Cessna 195 Businessliner - SOLD



N4386V is a painstakingly restored Cessna 195 that was originally owned as corporate transport by the Maytag Corporation of Newton Iowa.  This plane has been owned since the late 1980's by the current owner.  Economic conditions only could separate this owner from this fantastic 195.


Restoration of  Businessliner serial number 7308 was completed in 1993 - subsequently winning a bronze Lindberg award at Oshkosh.  This plane has been meticulously cared for and shows very little wear and tear - this plane could easily pass for a 3-5 year old restoration.  The paint was topped with two coats of clear-coat for incredible shine.  All the glass was replaced with new grey tint glass at the restoration.  The prop is polished to a mirror finish.  The engine has been overhauled since the restoration and has color coded valve covers that really accent this unique shaky-Jake.  The period-correct interior is in exceptional condition with very impressive attention to detail. 

This plane is hangared at the Longmont Vance Brand Airport and available for inspection on appointment.

Paint & Interior
Paint was completed in 1993 and was done in Porsche Guards Red with Black major and Vermilion minor accents.  This paint scheme was taken from a late production Cessna 195.  Aircraft was completely stripped, etched, primed, and coated with urethane base - then topped with two coats of clear for an incredible shine.  Windshield and side glass were replaced before paint with all new grey tint glass.  Glass and paint show in near new condition - the number of flaws is very small showing the great care this plane has had over the past 20 years.


Interior was done in period appropriate cloth and vinyl in black and a patterned fabric.  Interior and panel detail is very impressive.  Interior shows little wear since the resoration.
