SOLD - 1955 Cessna 180 Skywagon - SOLD

N180BG is excellent example of how great a plane an early Skywagon can be.  This plane started life as N9273C, and is the 1372nd Cessna 180 built of 6205 total built from 1953 to 1980.

This plane had been owned by a retired airline pilot since the 1980's, hangared next to his two other vintage Cessnas in the exeptionally dry climate of Grand Junction Colorado.  This plane has been very well maintained, and comes with a long list of the most desirable modifications for an early Skywagon.

The Continental O-470-S engine came from a 1976 Skywagon that was getting an IO-550 installed, and was installed on N180BG on a field approval along with a more modern 2-blade prop.  This engine pulls very hard.

These specifications are believed to be accurate but subject to verification.  This plane is hangared at the Longmont Vance Brand Airport, owned by Larson Aircraft, and is available for inspection on appointment.

Paint & Interior

Paint was completed in early 1998, done by Noel Weiss in Akron Colorado.  Aircraft was completely stripped, etched and conversion coated with Turco Accelagold.  All parts were primed with Sherwin-Williams epoxy primer.  Base coat was Matterhorn White (570-535) with Fire Red (TR-10095) and Bristol Blue (WQ-00330) Acry Glo accent colors.  Windshield and side glass were replaced before paint. Paint is excellent quality and shows that this plane has been well cared for and spent little time outside.

Interior side panels and carpet appear to have been redone in the mid to late 1990's.  Seats are showing some wear, and appear to have been done earlier.  Headliner will be replaced shortly with new.
