1982 Piper Aerostar 602P
Super 700 with -U2A Engines

N62DG is a late production Pressurized 602P Aerostar with no damage history, factory -U2A engines, and rare dual Garmin GTN-750 / G600 glass panel of our dreams!  N62DG is one of the last of the Aerostars to come off the production line - only 53 airframes are newer than this 602P!  There are 28 airframes that are eligible for the 6850 lb gross weight mod came of the line after this airframe. This Aerostar has always been US based, has had the same registration number since new, has a complete set of maintenance records, and has no known damage history.

N62DG was awarded a standard airworthiness certificate in June of 1983 after 9.2 hours of test flight.  The early life of this plane was spent in the Columbus Ohio area with Chartaire, presumably doing passenger charter work. They were able to log 316 hours of time in its first 14 months, even with a complete strip and re-paint completed by August of 1983.  By mid 1986 she was showing 1100 hours on the hobbs.  Maintenance during this time period was done with Zane Pritts shop, who by that time had well over a decade of  Aerostar maintenance experience.  The majority of the maintenance on this plane has been done with Aerostar specialists Zane Pritts, Master Aviation, and The Flight Shop.

The current owner has had this Superstar since the mid 2000's and has flown the plane regularly and improved it immensely over the years.  This plane represents a great opportunity for the buyer who wants the latest and greatest Garmin panel.  Panel upgrades to this level are very expensive with lots of down-time. The latest upgrade to this stack cost in the neighborhood of $150,000 even with highly desirable trade-in avionics which were already installed.  This Aerostar is one of the rare planes that has stayed active throughout its ownership, with no major periods where it has been a hangar queen.

This plane is known-ice equipped and air-conditioned, and has all but a few of the mods that are available for Aerostars.  These planes are the ultimate in piston engine private travel machines. Nothing compares to an Aerostar in this class of aircraft!

N62DG is based in the Boise Idaho area and can be seen by appointment.  Insurance endorsed transition training and delivery are available. Please don't hesistate to inquire with regard to tailoring  this Aerostar to your needs (modifications, cosmetics, or avionics),  or to discuss financing options.

Paint and Interior:
Current paint was done in year 2000 by Sky Harbor in Goderich Ontario, where the plane was stripped, base coated with Stark White H8208 AwlGrip, with Dark Blue Acryglo (#10596) and Maroon Acryglo (#10700) accents.  Sky Harbor has the reputation of doing some of the highest quality paint work in the industry.  Paint condition rates 8 on a scale of 10.  The windshield on this plane was replaced just a few hundred hours and a few years back - no worries about that high dollar maintenance item for quite a while into the future.

Interior is nearly new, redone in 2017 in top quality camel leather, and has Plastech pull down shades and the latest overhead air-conditioning duct (Nearly $20,000 in mods on top of the interior refurbishment).
