Aerostar airframe #28 is a light and fast
normally aspirated 1969 model year Aerostar
600 which was awarded an Airworthiness
Certificate on January 29, 1970. This highly
sought after Aerostar 600 is a low
maintenance non-turbocharged model, prized
for its light weight and simple engines that
tend to run very cheap and last
forever. Most of these early Aerostars
were used up as check haulers and charter
aircraft, many accumulating 20,000 to 30,000
hours and more.
This Aerostar has been privately owned
throughout its life and has been based for
the past 21 years in Colorado's dry climate
with the current owner. Previous to the
current owner, N5678 was based in a dry area
of Southern California, based and maintained
around Chino, Redlands, Ontario and
Riverside areas. This Aerostar 600 has been
maintained for decades by Aerostar
Specialist, The Flight Shop, in Brigham City
Utah. The original owner was a music
industry innovator in Altadena,
California. The next owner was the
owner of a furniture business in Corona,
California. Included with the plane
will be copies of this owners personal logs
showing flights in the mid 1970's through
mid 1980's. He purchased N5678 when his
previous Aerostar was stolen. The current
owner purchased it from the 3rd owner, Stan
Paxson, who had quite a bit of
restoration work done on N5678 and won Queen
of the Fleet honors at the 1992 Aerostar
Owners Association in Santa Barbara.
This Aerostar was inspected and qualified
for the current owner by his brother, a
former president of the Aerostar owners
association, and Bill Bridges (Founder of
the Flight Shop). This owner's family
currently has five Aerostars amongst the two
brothers and their children.
N5678 has complete maintenance logs since
new with no known damage history.
This Aerostar 600 is currently viewable in
Brigham City, UT, and can be seen by

transition training and delivery are
