SOLD - 1978 Cessna Skylane RG - SOLD

The Skylane RG has long been regarded to be one of Cessna's most fantastic single engine designs.  Lycomings of the 540 cubic inch family are often rated up to 350 horsepower. Rated at only 235 hp in the Skylane RG this engine tends to last nearly forever.  The Skylane RG will cruise at 150 KTAS at altitude, and has remarkable payload, endurance and range.  The Skylane RG gear system is very reliable with the hydro-electric power-pack system developed for the late 1970's vintage light Cessna singles, with no rear gear doors and mechanically actuated nose gear doors.

This retractable Skylane is the third to the last 1978 model produced, the 581st production R182.  This plane This plane has a fresh annual as of May 2014.  The plane has been has been hangared in Wyoming the past several years, with a Colorado history previous.  The radios and autopilot work well.  .  Compressions are high and the oil filter was clean.   This engine is very healthy and all indications are that it has many years / hundreds and hundreds of hours of reliable service life remaining. The recent main landing gear pivot service bulletin does not apply to this late serial number 1978 R182 (SEB 11-2 applies to to 1978 model 182RG's to serial number R18200476).

N1857R is for sale by owner and can be viewed by appointment.
